Data & Operations Analyst — Where Field Experience Meets Analytical Thinking

I spent 15 years in the Oil & Gas industry — first sitting behind engineering software designing complex well trajectories, then out in the field actually drilling them. Onshore, offshore, horizontal wells, extended reach wells, anti-collision scenarios with margins you would not believe. It was technical, high pressure, and data-heavy in ways that most people never see from the outside.

What that background gave me — beyond the drilling knowledge — was a very specific way of looking at data. When a wrong read on a torque curve or a survey deviation can cost millions and halt an entire operation, you learn quickly to challenge numbers, trace them to their source, and never present something you cannot fully defend.

That instinct is what I have brought into data analytics.

Since moving to the UK I have built the full modern toolkit — SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau, cloud pipelines — and put it to work on real projects. Not just to learn the tools, but to actually solve problems with them.
